WHAT IS BOOT CAMP?

Boot Camp is our flagship Israel education program for young adults. It’s an intensive, multi-week program which equips participants with the facts, skills and confidence to have effective conversations about Israel while providing a fun, social space to be part of a community and something bigger than yourself. Each class accepts 15-35 select candidates.

Over 900 people from all walks of life have completed Boot Camp and our diverse alumni include people of all faiths, ethnicities and nationalities. These graduates include Jews, Christians and Muslims, and hail from countries all over the world, including the United States, Canada, Israel, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia, Ukraine, Australia, Spain, Iran, Belgium and Venezuela.

PROGRAM BREAKDOWN

Kosher Dinner

Who wants to learn on an empty stomach? Every session begins with a buffet-style meal where participants and alumni schmooze.

Lessons

Seminars provide a deep analysis of Israeli history, the major components surrounding the Arab-Israeli conflict, as well as proven communication skills rooted in social psychology.

Interactive Exercises

It’s one thing to know the issues and a whole other how to talk about them. Our mock simulations prepare participants for difficult conversations happening in the real world.

Guest Speakers

Get an inside perspective from some of the most experienced voices in politics, diplomacy, media, communication and education. Previous speakers include Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, Israeli diplomat Ron Prosor, former US Ambassador to Morocco Marc Ginsberg and New York Times columnist Bret Stephens.

Socialize

Every session ends with a social gathering at a local bar. This is where participants and alumni get to know each other on a personal level, forming lifelong relationships. FYI, this has resulted in many marriages.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR BOOT CAMP?

This program is specifically designed for young professionals in their 20s and 30s (you must be at least 21) who are passionate about Israel and committed to supporting the nation state of the Jewish people. The overwhelming majority of Boot Campers are secular Jews, but we provide an inclusive space that's friendly to people of all backgrounds, including orthodox Jews and non-Jews.

WHAT DOES BOOT CAMP COST?

Tuition varies by city and is dependent on the duration of the class and how long the particular Boot Camp chapter has been active. It covers the cost of kosher dinner, the class itself and subsequent drink tickets at a local bar. Click on the application link below for your city for more info.

There are no other required costs before, during or after the program, but since Fuel For Truth is an alumni-operated 501(c)3 organization we certainly encourage tax-deductible gifts and appreciate the support.

DOES FUEL FOR TRUTH ADVOCATE ANY POLITICAL POSITIONS?

No, we do not. Our only requirement is that you support Israel's right to exist and defend itself within secure and recognized borders. We don't care if you are left or right, democrat or republican, one-state or two-state... Our goal is for your opinions to be based on fact and reality, and that you possess the tools and confidence to persuasively articulate your positions.

WHEN IS BOOT CAMP OFFERED?

Boot Camp runs on two-three times per year. Sessions are held once per week in the evening. The total number of sessions and which night of the week it's held is dependent on the specific city.

WHERE IS BOOT CAMP OFFERED?

Boot Camp is currently available in New York City, Washington, DC, Miami, and Boston, and we are in the process of expanding to Chicago and Los Angeles.

If you don't live in those markets or fall outside the Boot Camper demographic, we offer Israel education workshops across the country. Previous clients include CAMERA, the Israeli American Council, Realize Israel at NYU and Aish. If you are interested in bringing a workshop to your community, please contact us.
